Define the first delivery

Useful content reaches the right channel through a reviewable process.

Work directly with Bud Sheppard to map the current job, check the available systems, and agree on a useful working result.

A possible first build / Illustrative scope

Approved content reaches the right channel.

This example explains a possible engagement. It is not a completed client project or a promised result.

The starting problem
Ideas, drafts, reviews and publication status live in separate places.
A useful first scope
One content handoff with an owner, an approval step and a publication check.
How we would check it
Confirm the actual public destination and route failed or changed material back for review.
What we would agree before building
  • Choose the channel, source material and review owner.
  • Define permission to publish and what requires a new review.
  • Agree on schedule handling and verification after release.

The archive shows articles, source references and service links. It illustrates a published result, not the internal publishing machinery or a promise of traffic.

Your first conversation

Bring the work. Leave with a direction.

Start with the owner or operator and the person closest to the task. Bring the repeated job, the tools involved, and where it gets stuck. The AI Build Session helps define a useful first build and the questions that still need answers.

Know the terms before work starts.

Agree on the scope, price, schedule, access, ownership and support responsibilities. Later changes need their own agreement. Sending an inquiry does not book a session, authorize access or create an engagement.

01

Pick a repeatable production job

Start with work that already has a purpose and an owner.

A first workflow might turn approved business information into a draft article, prepare channel-specific content for review, keep a publishing calendar current, or connect campaign inquiries to the CRM. Define the audience, the desired next step and the person responsible for the work.

AI can assist with drafting and organizing material. It does not establish that a claim is true, that an image is appropriate, or that a message is approved. The workflow should make those checks part of production rather than leaving the team to remember them.

02

Source to publication

Keep the subject, evidence and asset aligned.

Record the source and date of a factual claim, the approved business position, the publication target and the image or other asset that belongs with it. A model release article must describe a release that existed at the time it covers; publication dates should describe the real publication.

The reviewer should be able to inspect the draft, sources, headline, links, image and intended channel together. Publishing should use the reviewed version. If the text or asset changes afterward, the workflow needs a new review of what will actually appear.

03

Channels and boundaries

A draft, a publication and a customer message have different finishes.

Choose which steps the system may prepare and which require approval. Platform availability, rights to source material, account permissions and contact preferences affect the scope.

Three marketing workflow jobs and their completion records
JobUseful outputEvidence of completion
Content preparationA source-backed draft with its matching asset. The reviewer approves the version intended for publication.
PublishingApproved content placed on the selected public channel. The actual URL or channel confirms the correct version.
Inquiry handoffA campaign request matched to a CRM owner. The record, source label and next action are visible.
04

Measure the whole path

Publication volume is not the business result.

Choose measurements that fit the job: review time, correction rate, completed publications, usable inquiries, missing handoffs, and the effort needed to maintain the workflow. Reach and clicks alone do not establish a sale or prove which piece of content caused it.

CRM integrations can preserve a permitted campaign source and route an inquiry. Business dashboards can show the defined measures and their limitations. Avoid presenting an inferred conversion or an old metric as a confirmed result.

05

Inspect our own public example

A briefing archive connects news to practical business decisions.

The ShepBuild AI briefing archive is a public example of topic-specific articles, matching images, source references and links to relevant services. It illustrates the published result a content workflow can support. It is not a promise that a new business will receive the same traffic or search position.

A first client scope could be a small reviewed content workflow or a more reliable campaign-to-inquiry handoff. The number of channels, production volume, review owner, subscriptions and support requirements are agreed for the engagement.

06

Implementation scope

Agree on the work this workflow is responsible for.

ShepBuild builds the operating workflow. Paid advertising management, media buying, campaign strategy, creative rights and ongoing editorial production are separate needs that should be explicitly scoped or assigned to the appropriate provider. A publishing integration does not provide those services automatically.

Questions / Before the build

Useful answers before a tool is chosen.

01Can AI help us draft articles or marketing content?

Yes, as part of a defined preparation and review workflow. The business supplies or approves its position and checks factual claims, sources, assets and the intended audience before publishing.

02Can you connect a content calendar and publishing tools?

We assess the selected tools, APIs, roles and review needs, then scope the supported steps. The workflow should confirm publication or leave a visible exception.

03Can campaign inquiries feed our CRM?

A scoped integration can preserve appropriate source information, match the record and assign an owner. Contact preferences, duplicate handling and failure recovery must remain part of the flow.

04Will this automatically send marketing messages?

Only within the content, recipients, channel, timing and approval rules the business explicitly agrees. Preparation, approval and transmission are distinct steps.

05Does ShepBuild manage paid ads or guarantee leads?

This service concerns marketing workflow implementation. Advertising management and media buying are separately scoped needs, and no lead volume, ranking or revenue result is guaranteed.
